| Pilau Rice |

| Ingredients |
| 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil |
| 1 tsp Cumin Seeds |
| 5 Cloves |
| 2 Bay Leaves |
| 1 Cinnamon Stick |
| 5 Cardamom |
| 1 Onion, sliced |
| 500 g Basmati Rice, washed |
| 1 lt Water |
| Salt, to taste |

| Method |
| Heat the oil in a pan. |
| Now add the cumin seeds, cloves, bay leaf, cinnamon, and green cardamom. |
| When they crackle add the sliced onion and sauté until the onion is a little coloured. |
| Add rice and sauté for two minutes. |
| Now add the water and salt. |
| Cook with a tight lid on top for 20-25 minutes on low heat undisturbed. |
